What is OMBRÉ BROW?

No more filling in your brows! Ombré Brow is a machine technique which achieves a natural soft powder look. By brushing the skin with a single nano needle, pigment is built layer by layer producing a gradient of color from dark to light. This mimics the natural color progression of the brow from the tail and the core to the bulb.

Prior to the procedure I will shape and customize your brows to a size and form that compliments your facial features and brings out your eyes. I will also select a color that best matches your natural complexion and skin tone, bearing in mind undertones and skin conditions.

Ombré does not require any tweezing, waxing, plucking, or shaving off the brows, and does not damage the existing brow hair.

Topical anesthetics are applied before and during the procedure to keep pain and discomfort to a minimum. The procedure requires approximately three hours with shaping.

A touch up is required 6-12 weeks after the initial procedure. After that, touch ups are recommended yearly to maintain color richness and shape.

Please note:  For the first 10-12 days, eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, and thicker due to scab formation and the natural skin healing process of the immune system. This is common and to be expected for all permanent makeup procedures.

Advantages of Ombré Brows vs Microblading

  1. LESS INVASIVE: Ombré brows are achieved using a small machine, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments evenly into and across the skin in a shading technique. Microblading uses a hand-tool that creates incisions or small cuts into the skin. Over time, repeated incisions into the same spots will cause trauma to the skin.

  2. LESS PAIN & BLEEDING: Ombré brows are less painful due to the brushing technique I apply, which causes less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of microblading. The latter also creates cuts into the skin, thus more bleeding is involved. With ombré brows, minimal to zero blood surfaces during the procedure. Some of our clients say that getting ombré brows is a similar sensation to an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin or rapid tweezing; some discomfort is to be expected as a needle is utilized.

  3. LASTS LONGER: Results do vary based on lifestyle, skin type, health, preferences, etc., but a completed ombré brows session, using high-quality pigments, can last on average 2-3 years. Microblading, on the other hand, has a high likelihood of healing blotchy, spotty or with blurred strokes, thus requiring more frequent touch-ups, generating more long term wear and tear on the skin, eventually maxing out the skin’s lifetime capacity quickly. Like any injury to the skin, the body repairs the wounded area by building collagen fibers, creating a scar. Both treatments will eventually dull out the skin in this way permanently, so choosing the right method to save your skin integrity is critical.

  4. GREAT FOR ALL SKIN TYPES: Ombré brows are great for almost any skin type, unlike microblading, which has a very small percentage of candidates.

  5. STILL LOOKS NATURAL: While ombré brows have a more “filled-in” look, the healed results appear like softly shaded brow pencil or powder. Immediately after the treatment, ombré brows can appear more saturated and bold, however, brows will fade 20-30%, leaving a very soft finish and shape that will allow our clients to quickly groom their brows going forward.
